Pleiades(top left) and Hyades(bottom right)

Pleiades(top left) and Hyades(bottom right) naked eye open clusters in the constellation of Taurus.

Pleiades(M45/Seven Sisters) is one the best naked eye cluster. Its one of the nearest open clusters to the Earth. Hot blue stars with surrounded by reflection nebulosity dominate the cluster. The Pleiades (Kartika) are particularly revered in Hindu mythology as the seven mothers of the war god Skanda.

The Hyades is another large open cluster located in the constellation Taurus covering about 5 degrees. Its brightest stars form a “V” shape along with the Aldebaran, a red giant star and the brightest star in the field of view, Aldebaran is not part of the cluster !!!

Look through a binocluar to find more stars in these clusters.
