Brocchi’s Cluster (Collinder 399 / Coat Hanger) is one of the best object for binoculars.
Located in the constellation Vulpecula, approximately midway between stars Vega and Altair along the border with sagitta. For naked eye observation and good viewing conditions, it can be seen as an unresolved patch of light.
Its most remarkable feature is a straight line of six stars of 6th and 7th mag. Four stars extending from the centre of this line form a hook that completes the coathanger shape.
