The Bangalore Astronomical Society is a registered, not-for-profit, amateur astronomical association based in Bangalore, India.
The Society became officially registered on November 6th, 2006. Prior to this, The Society had been functioning informally since July 22nd 2006
BAS members team had recently been to Kavlur. Picture above shows BAS team at Kavlur, Aisa’s largest optical telescope (2.3 mts), with Scientists at observatory.
